Stewart Halperin

The business owner and Executive Director Stewart Halperin graduated as a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons from Edinburgh University in 1992.
After completing an Internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Ontario Veterinary College, in Canada, teaching medicine and surgery to final year students., Stewart returned to the UK and worked as head Veterinary Surgeon at a high profile central London practice, until buying his first practice in West London in 2002.
Stewart currently owns and runs Petcare, a group of 6 small animal veterinary practices based in West London. Stewart has a further qualification in arbitration that allows him to carry out expert witness work.
Stewart is a previous director of the London Veterinary Forum, a buying group acting for 250 members in and around the London area, negotiating preferential deals for private practice in the areas of pharmaceutical purchases, continuing education, laboratory fees and banking terms.
Stewart is also Veterinary advisor to Braidlock, an innovative healthcare company bringing novel medical intravenous and line fixation products to both the Human and Veterinary markets.
Recent accolades, during April 2012, include the award of the prestigious Petplan UK Vet of the Year Award, won by one of the surgeons working under Stewart. In addition, Stewart became one of the first vets in the UK to carry out Adipose derived Stem Cell transplants in a dog with Osteoarthritis.
